ADVANCED CLASSICAL TUTU PROJECT
This very intense course is designed to take you all the way from initial concept to a complete and fully-decorated stage-ready Classical tutu. You will choose one of our own special designs to construct.

Learn everything you need to know to make your own beautiful, professional, performance-ready Classical Tutus!

JEWELED TIARAS
You know the ones - those beautiful Crystal Tiaras that look like real diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires, and make those ready-made versions turn pale in comparison!
Format: 6 hours, 5pm to 11pm
NEW! for 2009, this class is offered on 2 separate evenings. It is intended to be completed in 1 class session (1 evening). You may register to create more than one Tiara on separate evenings, or you may use the additional class time to finish your project if necessary.

An informal roundtable discussion of the dance costume business. Whether you're starting-up, thinking about it, or already doing it - bring questions, bring answers.

September 15 - Tuesday morning
GUIDED SHOPPING DAY
Claudia has spent a few hundred hours prowling the garment district of Los Angeles for fabric and trims. Come along this morning, and shop in some of her favorite places - she won't show you all her secrets, but you will certainly overload on those shops you do visit!
Format: 1/2 Day
Cost: free (except for what you may spend in these fabulous places!)

Nearest Airport:  John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA) (1/2 mile away)
Shuttle service between the airport and hotel is available - check with the hotel for details.
You may also wish to check for cheaper flights to/from other nearby airports, such as:
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), or even
Long Beach (LGB), Ontario (ONT), Burbank (BUR), Carlsbad (CLD), San Diego (SAN), or Palm Sprimgs (PSP) (all are less than 100 miles from Irvine)

The hotel is located 1/2-mile from the John Wayne/Orange County Airport, is just a few minutes from the beach, and is a very short drive from all of the dizzying array of Southern California attractions (Los Angeles, movie studios, Disneyland - the list goes on forever!).

Although there are several restaurants within easy walking distance (and dozens more just a short drive away), the hotel itself has a really nice restaurant, provides a great (and free!) 'cooked to order' breakfast every morning, and has a wonderful Happy Hour with drinks and snacks every evening!

The Embassy Suites Irvine is a Hilton (and HHonors) Hotel. You can ship your sewing machine, serger, and other items directly to the hotel, and they will safely store them until you arrive. BUT, you should contact the hotel well beforehand to make arrangements, and allow plenty of time for your package to arrive.
