Although a full-circle skirt is much more difficult to make flattering than a 1/2-circle skirt, it has much more 'flow'.
The course teaches all the steps and nuances to creating a beautiful and great fitting ballet-skirt, with incredible 'flow' and 'feel', and that definitely keeps your dancer from appearing 'gravity-bound' or 'glued to the floor'.
You will learn the secrets of correct layout, how to properly cut on the bias, how to find the true bias, how to "tear" the silk in order to find the true cross-wise grain, and much more.
You will choose to create one of the following workshop options:
- Option #1 - create a gorgeous 1-layer, full-circle, silk-chiffon skirt.
Color choices for the skirt are Light Pink, White, or Natural White (Ivory).
- Option #2 - create an exquisite 2-layer, full-circle, silk-chiffon skirt.
With twice as much fabric, this skirt has a completely different 'flow' than the 1-layer version.
Color choices for the dress are Light Pink, White, or Natural White (Ivory).
We supply all the fabric, and, of course, full instruction.
And by the way, when properly designed and constructed (which you'll learn here), these skirts are normally worth a few hundred dollars and up.
Add a Bodice and decorations and the value goes up even more.
Please note: this workshop does NOT include bodice instruction.
The course is designed to work in conjunction with our 'Bodice Construction' or 'Bodice Design, Patterning, and Construction' seminars.
