Diamond-Shape Flat-Back Sew-On Rhinestones have two or more holes drilled through the crystal. They are meant to be sewn to the material, but may also be glued on using one of the several adhesives specially made for the purpose.

Most 'shaped' stones have 2 or more holes at the edges of the stone. The multiple holes allow for a more secure attachment to the fabric.
